Just finished watching all 26 episodes in one sitting a few hours ago.

Gonna have to say, big thumbs up, akimbo even. I recommend it highly. Even if your a bit squimish (it's got alot of gore and stuff), which I am when it comes to some animated violence (mostly the audio is the most disguisting, which Higurashi has a good quality of in terms of sound), it's still enjoyable.

Not gonna summerize the plot but as to what it is, is a psychological horror series based around one common thing. A series of gruesome murders that happen in this tiny country side town every year during the town's only festival.

Main character moves in from outside of town and quickly makes friends with the kids in his class that are about his age. I'll leave you to figure out the rest.

What one of my favorite aspects of this series (only watched the animated so far, gonna get the games), is how the 'curse' that happens in all the story arcs are all looked at from a different perspective and how it warps that person's view of reality.

The first few episodes (first arc) are my favorite, mostly due to the maximum amounts of mindfucking that happens.

I can safely say that I didn't feel super attached to ALL the characters, but they where all pretty genuine, and when shit happend you generally felt accordingly.

Oh, and one of the thigns I love about the animating style is the over-exaggerated eye expressions.

If I had more time, i'de re-watch this all again in one sitting, it was that good of an experience for myself.

Just finished the second season a few days ago, I NEED MORE.

If I end up not getting more (OVA, Games, Etc) i'll probably end up re-watching it all anyways so, Least I could do is stream it for you.

I havn't found the manga around here sadly .

Also, it's really grimey and dark, but then super cheery, it's a wonderful mix of highs and ultra-lows.I loves it. It's not all about loltorture or anything, shit happens though.

I'll post some CUTESY stuff to coutner act the really grim parts I posted. Just figured people would want to see extremes. Whatev.

Funny enough, I went to the book store a few days later and they had Abducted by Demons 2 and Cotton Drifting Festival 2 arcs in das manga.

Bought the shit ouf of them.

I go to read Abducted by the Demons 2, and it takes me about 2 minutes to figure out how to read it.

I open it up like a manga, and i'm seeing the last page, so I partially raged there, but then I turned it around and noticed that ti was upside down.

So I have to flip the book upside down to read it.
