Okay. I got kicked. I decided that I did something wrong, and would stop, and not do it again. Plunger comes onto teamspeak and says "Dont do this." "No wait, come back on the server just so I can ban you." I was already in the action of joining the server, I log onto a character, and get banned.

This seems like a bit of an iffy problem.

Lent, you may not have offended anyone, but someone could become extremely offended by what you said. Even if it was IC Roleplay.

As for Plunger, he should have actually talked to Lent about it in SF or something. I mean, for admins, you are suppose to warn first than kick.
Unless it's a serious offense or issue, like RDMing or other.



Personally, I think Plunger jumped the gun a bit on this. It was In Character Roleplay. And it doesn't seem like Lent was attempting to invoke any offense from others.

If Lent can't play a character as such as that, than we shouldn't be able to play any racist, sexist, rapists, murderers, or any character that could make someone feel offended.

And honestly, if this community was 'Mature', than the members should be able to handle such things with out feeling offended by it. As this honestly doesn't seem like an attempt to cause anger toward anyone.

This is actually a topic we should discuss so other players don't break the rules/aren't offended in the future. Yes, it's unfortunate we live in a world of hate and arrogance for sexuality, race, age, ect. but what happens in-character doesn't always mean that someone supports it out of character, but that's just it, it's real life and in real life there are going to be ignorant assholes. Now, if someone takes that out of character and starts doing it backed by their own personal opinion only then are they truly trying to offend someone and shame on these people because of their arrogance; however, we should not judge people for doing this. I think the only official clarification that bars a certain type of roleplay is sexual contented roleplay (More commonly known as 'Cyber' or 'Sex-RP'). If a player does this and someone is offended it would be best to let them know in OOC that there is nothing personal or hate-seeking about what happens, just to be safe. While being HGN we don't want to look like ignorant people, I 100% agree with that statement, but we're taking IC and trying to make it OOC.
