Unban Request - TheAllPowerful

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong area!  I couldn't find a spot for just forum bans.

'TheAllPowerful' a person new to both the Minecraft server and HGN, had their forum account IP banned for posting in the shoutbox: "server y u no up".  The only reason being given to him for the ban was: "that wasn't an invitation smartass."

We were both just wondering why it was a permanent ban (and I am wondering why he was banned at all considering some of the posts and conversations I have seen take place in the shoutbox).  If he did indeed deserve a ban for what he posted, can I at least be informed as to why it was a permanent one?  And if he has lied to me and did post other things (or there are other elements to this that he didn't tell me) to cause a legitimate permanent forum ban, then I apologize in advance.

The only reason why I am posting this for him is because he has been an extremely mature player, and just calmly asked me for clarification on this rather than flip out and rage at the first admin he found.

Its not perma its only has one-two days left.

He said the lift date was January (I can't remember the day and time) 2011.  And thats, in the past?  So we both assumed, it was a perma.  He took a screen shot of it I believe, I will see if I can get the screen shot when the Minecraft server comes back up and I can ask him.  Good news though that its not a perma, lol.

I banned him for trolling the shoutbox after I said specifically that threads had been created for both Terraria and Minecraft to ask about the server status, and any more posts would result in a ban. He decided to test that, and promptly got what was assured would happen. He can wait a day.
