Because a lot of people want to donate to HGN, but can't for lack of a credit card;

I'll tell you how to set up paypal.

Paypal has an option for you to add your bank accounts, meaning that you don't NEED a credit card.
That's right kids

Note 1: I'm not malicious. I'm not here to fuck this up for you. I'm an admin, meaning I'm here to help you with your HGN related troubles.
Note 2: Please, if you know you're bad at handling money, don't do this. If you think you're responsible, go right ahead and follow the guide here.

Ahem. Moving on.

Here's what you do:
Step ONE: Create a NEW email account.
This is VERY important. If you make a new email, it's completely ninja. You can NEVER be spammed with fake paypal messages, because it's a totally unknown email adress, and only the REAL paypal knows it. So you'll always get REAL notifications on just THAT account.

Step Two: Create a paypal account with THAT NEW EMAIL ADRESS.
Because then you've got your secure link, and won't get your ass spammed.

Step Three: Make a mental note never to use that email adress for ANYTHING ELSE.
Also you'll want to make a hard copy. NOT one on your computer, that's dangerous. Write it down on a note and leave that info in a secure place.

Step Four: Add your account details.
Just log into paypal, and you'll see this next screen, I presume. Follow the red lettering. My paypal is in dutch, so I added translations where neccesary, and censored my personal data.

Step Five: Wait a few days, check with your bank.
If you have E-banking, check in to see if their test one cent-thing came through. Otherwise go to your bank and check up with them.

Step Six: Add monies.
Once again, this can take a day. Add a little more than you need for donation. Also, if you're on a different currency than USD, check with google. Just search currency converter. Always be on the safe side and estimate your cash ABOVE what's needed. Otherwise you're just wasting days waiting for that extra two bucks to finally come through.

Step Seven: Donate!
Once you've got that moolah in your paypal, Go to the donate page. Use your PAYPAL EMAIL in the email field, otherwise exile's gonna have a shit time checking who you are and what you payed for.

Step Eight: Copy donation log.
If you donate, make sure to note WHAT you donated , how much you payed and your number. It helps if something goes wrong.

Step Nine: Enjoy!
By now you'll have bugged an Admin or Exile ingame, who will have gotten the donation within two days after you did it. It's a slow-ish system when you first use it, yes. AFter that it's razor-fast.

When I try to create a PayPal account in Norway, it says I have to be 18.

Soo..

Legally yes, but im not even 18 yet (1 month to go) So.. its fine.

We can only take donations through Paypal, it's a bitch to get money transfered over the internet.
