Crussaria Closed Alpha Testing - Saturday 16th

We are going to be doing closed alpha testing on Saturday, the server will be passworded and the password will only be given out to trusted, respectable players and donators who have been in the community for some time. Tags are an adamant requirement and anyone who is not wearing our tag will not be allowed to come on the server (See HyperGaming Network Tag information thread for requirements on tag wearing).

We will only be doing the medieval side of Crussaria for awhile until such time fantasy elements (Magic, werewolves etc) are allowed. This means you are expected to start off as a peasant\citizen and roleplay a "traditional\normal" villager\citizen of the world. It's important we get the economy and medieval side down before over complicating things and overtime other things will be allowed to greater expand and contribute to the Crussaria world.

It's VERY important you read up on the lore, order and rules of Crussaria, making up things is not an option, especially if it's already wrote down. I must clearly state that Crussaria is a on-going thing and not everything has been wrote so far, do not makes things up yourself, if you have a question about the lore, geography or general information in crussaria we have a requests thread and you will recieve a reply to it and it will then also be updated in the lore (offically). We cannot possibly write down everything in our custom world and thus will be progressively recorded\updated.

How do i download the content from Crussaria?
Crussaria is the first server in HGN to use SVN to distribute our content to players. If you have never used an SVN before we have a tutorial on how to download from a SVN which also explains what an SVN is. We also offer a ZIP file of content directly from the SVN however setting up an SVN means instant updates with no hassle.

I see we are limited to medieval theme for now, can i make my own group\faction?

The answer is yes but it really depends on what your trying to make, if your trying to make a magic group, then no, firstly magic will not be in the lore yet, we are sticking to medieval for now, secondly the lore currently about magic restricts it to an official faction (There's also requirements\limits on who can be a magic user such as all "legal" magic users being a part of this faction)

Paladin\Holy Groups (There's alot to religion already, however everything is not finalized yet)
Magic users\groups (Basic statement above)
Creature\Godly\Evil\Demon\Witcher\(Other Races not listed)

Groups that are acceptable
(Although subject to rules\guidelines - Some rules\guidelines may not exist yet for said groups\factions, it's alpha, don't get butthurt if your idea is crushed.)
Shops - Starting your own shop to sell goods, we generally want to keep shops item specific, such as book stores, armor stores etc.
Character groups\guilds (Depends on type of guild\Group) - Things like the fighters guild would be acceptable although all these player-made groups won't receive any support from the admins\script directly, however to kick start things new groups\players will receive "special" treatment to try and get things kick started.

When it comes down to real estate (buildings) You will need auth's to own them as your house\guild. We will be allowing certain things to happen for free to get stuff kick started

To finalize this rather basic announcement. Take note again that this is Alpha, Alpha generally means - unplayable/buggy/testing and is not the final "crussaria" - It's just the start, anything and everything may be subject to change, things you do in the alpha may later be disabled\banned, things will be expected to change. The storyline\lore of crussaria are always subject to change, you must push yourself to read up on it and before you try to "create" things in roleplay, you should post in the request thread for more information so you know about said subject to roleplay\talk about it otherwise what you would be doing would be unofficial and would confuse things.

So small summary\info is:

It's an on-going project, Lore is being written overtime.

Crussaria is very complex, there's alot to it and it is easy to loose your way.

It's strictly medieval for now, no fantasy elements\things that will over complicate things.

We are still stuck on a small map with no real wilderness and a small sized town. Do not expect too much, this is not really the desirable feel we intentionally want. Crussaria is meant to be much bigger with lots of wilderness and several towns/villages.

Please do not forget that your human, your someone who is vulnerable, not a epic hero adventurer which has been all over the land doing thousands of quests, that's not what crussaria is about.

Although Crussaria has\will have some RPG elements they are their to create an economy and provide more roleplay, the role of the game is not to have the best gear but to enjoy roleplaying and fit into the environment. Some elements are to help you enjoy and actually produce a product which you can sell on and create roleplay. Others to to and "reel" you in and give you the sense of the world.

Eventually we will have a "profession" system which allows you to have up to two professions to do things such as blacksmithing, carpentry and such. This is to avoid people becoming a "jack" of all trades. Infact what may just happen in apprenticeships in such tasks where players roleplay learning the skill from another person then gain that skill eventually over time. This may be done through applications or maybe the script.
