Just a quick thought.

Instead of Fallout RP on Gmod, we create a FOnline/Fallout 2238 server instead.

I am having a blast playing Fallout 2238, even though I keep dying and losing my gear. It could bring more players, so they can escape the clutches of those Russians.

Plus the fact that there are encounters and loot randomly generated. It be a lot easier to manage too.

I don't think we could even have a FOnline 2238 server. I mean of course they have an SDK to make a server, but that is more outdated than the actual server.

I just think it be a better alternative than Gmod. The main thing players bitch for is events.

Admins can make events, but we are very limited in what we have. And most new players rather skip Passive RP.

Lastly, players can encounter each other, shoot the fuck out of eadh other, loot shit up and not complain. It's likely the survivor will be dead soon anyways.

Basically, I think FOnline does a better job at immersion than Gmod. And the fact that is contains more content and options of things to do. Bases, vehicles, crafting, medical practice, factions, and more. All that is managed by the game itself.

If you think people bitch and whine too much about items now, just think how much worse it would be in a game where a random encounter could very well kill a player and cause them to lose everything not just the gun they have equipped.

Thats the thing, you can save items, there is a tent you can get, or base, which you can keep safe from others.

And you should know, when it comes to FOnline, death comes quick and easy. Eventually people will learn to avoid combat and unknown players. and eventually you will get strong enough to take on others.

It is a lot risky and tougher game, but items can be crafted easy enough. Don't expect to make Power Armor, but you can make most basic guns and gear.

Loss of items will be frustrating at first, but eventually you can stake your claim in some land and slowly grow more stronger.

It feels a lot more rewarding and much more immersive than FORP is now.

Small advice, set combat to Turn-Base and new players will be able survive encounters easily if they avoid big groups or strong enemies.

Nothing is irrelevant in a topic about a silly community of kids.

Thing about death is, when you respawn, you pop up in a safe area for you only. You can than proceed to travel wherever you want.
And most Southern towns are filled with guards to murder any assholes that try shit. And the fact that admins can still be used.

SDK doesn't have tents and there are barely any admin commands.
