On redemption I mostly have 16-24 fps. It seems like only one of my processors are working, any tips on optimizing performance? It also happens on CoH and really bad on MB Warband with all low settings.

Your video card is pretty bad so that might be part of it.

Make sure you have all the updated drivers for it. Also defragment your computer and dl a program called "Ccleaner" to remove old files that might be slowing your system down.

There's A LOT I can go into that may be problematic for your PC. As others said defrag and clean your computer. It'll help a lot. You also need to look at your graphics card, what version it is, is it running the most up to date drivers, and etc. Also look for faulty RAM. Without good RAM your not going to be able to do shit. Also, if you computer is custom built (Or you've upgraded it at any time) like mine is, you ALWAYS have to make sure your parts are compatible. Something in your computer might not be fully compatible with everything else, and that'll seriously hurt your performance.

Yeah about part compatibility, if you add RAM make sure the modules have the same timings or weird things will happen. I inadvertently had 2 sets of RAM timings (5-5-5-15 and 4-4-4-12) in my old homemade machine and couldn't figure out why the hell it was having so many problems until I realized what had happened and manually set the timings in the Bios.

But that is probably not what is wrong with your machine.

Lowering the graphics all the way will give me lag free play on CoH, unless I'm playing a mod. If I wanted my computer faster for games, should I go with a new graphics card first?

Yeah a new graphics card would definitely help. I tried googling Geforce 9200 and couldn't find anything which leads to believe it is slow and outdated.
ATI's 5-series cards are good and pretty cheap, they are like $170 or so for a good one. You could do with more RAM too, 3 gb isn't that much.

I purchased a 9800 for around $90 off Amazon. However you MUST make sure the card is compatible with the motherboard.

Most mobos these days are PCI E, if he has a dual core processor then he certainly has PCI E also since every dual core mobo I can think of has a PCI E slot.

I was thinking more like this. :D

Would love to be able to max out my games.
This is cheaper, so probabably this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130395 Not sure though because the reviews are terrible. I'm thinking I should stick with Nvidia to avoid compatibility issues. I'm also a bit worried about my PSU. Need a low power card. Also my computer is aqbout 12 inches tall. Need a small card to fit in with all the other stuff shoved in there.

NOOOOOOOOOOO the 220 is comparable to around an Nidia 9600. Do not touch those. Skip that new shit and just get a 9800 from Amazon like I did. I max out all my games with that beast, and it hasn't increased the noise of my computer.

You're not going to "max out" anything with the shitty cards you're looking at. Spend the $150 and buy it right or you will wind up having the same exact problem.

Get that. It's like $30 more expensive and will rape any 9 series Nvidia card.

Check motherboard. Find out if you have a PCI slot by looking at the vendor's website.
