Please Help Me!! V_V

I keep trying to join the server, but for some reason my game keeps crashing.  I will join the server, and it will show the progress bar, everything is normal, until it reaches about 99%.  When it gets there the game freezes up and crashes, saying that HL2.exe has crashed.  A problem has occurred that has caused HL2.exe to stop running properly.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing both HL2 and Gmod.  I have tried deleting the HL2.exe, I have tried deleting the ClientRegistry.blob.  I really need some help to get it working again.  I have all the content packs and maps installed.  Please help me!!  V_V
