Sawn off shotgun

The shotgun which beginners use in the cordan so on. The double barrel sawn off shotgun could it be placed into srp at a cheaper price than the toz hunting shotgun to help rookies get a decent gun, pricing it at around 500ish maybe?

I don't think it's a bad suggestion go play the stalker games and you will find out that it is a rookie gun you get near enough straight away.

That. Too many people don't seem to realize that no one on HGN knows how to model and animate. Find a model with working V's and then post. If you don't know what "working v's" means then don't suggest anything relating to guns.

Good luck not getting mowed down, along with the range being extremely ancy. Although, it was used as a great hunting rifle back in the ol' days, ya' know? Actually, only older shotguns have 2 triggers, the higher grade O/U and SxS Shotguns will have a single trigger that will fire the 2 rounds separately.

Useless weapon, you'll get killed by more experienced stalkers before you'll even approach them.

So because somebody is carrying a Sawn-Off Shotgun an Experienced STALKER is automatically going to be hostile and kill them as they are walking up to them. The weapon is not "useless" by far, and people who think Shotguns spread like they do in most games have clearly never fired one. The grouping on a shotgun is a LOT less wide than most people would think, even when using something like Birdshot. Yes, I DO realize that this is a Sawn-Off shotgun, but even with such a short barrel it can be loaded with rifled slugs that can very well match the accuracy of the best pistols on the Server as well as provide a relatively decent amount of stopping power, both in close and medium ranges. I hate to break it to the people who have some form of super-armor, but of somebody aims a shotgun (lets consider they're using 8-Pellet 00 Buckshot, the ammo which is used in the server as far as I know) at your head/neck/upper chest and you're within 30 yards, you're probably going to die from the trauma caused, and if not you're going to be scarred and injured from the pellets which I'm assuming won't actually be removed from the body. Consider that, and the fact that a TOZ costs somewhere between 600RU and 1000RU depending on who you're buying it from, then compare this low-priced firearm that is relatively decent and CAN do a nice amount of damage to the Makarov they start with. It is FAR from useless.

Player takes out his sawed off shotgun, taking aim
Player 2 takes out his AK74U in response to his attacker, taking aim as well.
Player Opens fire with his sawed off shotgun, letting out a blast of two shotgun shells at the opposing STALKER.
Player 2 Is hit by the blasts but due to their non-pointblank proximity, he/she is able to pull the trigger on the STALKER.
Player Is hit by the rounds of the AK74U and attempts to reload as he/she is bleeding and cringing in pain.
Player 2 Fires off another flurry of bullets at the attacking STALKER, emptying his/her magazine.
Player Falls dead to the floor, the flurry of bullets having been to much for his/her body's vitality.

The ammo capacity really is sad.

I beg to differ, I can massacre bandits on the normal game with that damn thing, I loved sneaking aorund with it.

Once again, people assume you need to be in point-blank proximity to use it effectively, 00 Buckshot makes a relatively tight pattern up to 30 yards at LEAST. Second of all, there is no way after having 2 Shells (16 Pellets) of Buckshot loaded into his face/neck/upper chest that he's going to keep his aim on point and be able to accurately attack the person who shot first, whether it be because of the excruciating pain considering the fact he will more than likely have 10+ holes punctured in his face/neck/upper chest, all of which are bleeding as well. And this is if he ISN'T dead from being shot twice, which may or may not be more likely depending on the range. Now lets talk reliability, obviously people aren't cleaning their weapons every day, and consider the fact they are in a disgusting dirty and grimy nuclear wasteland. I understand that people have this idea of the Kalashnikov model of rifles (Whether it be a Saiga, AKM, AK-101, whatever) that they are some sort of un-jammable machine, but lets get one thing straight here: the AK series of rifles (especially those available in The Zone) are a mass produced PEASANTS rifle, they AREN'T some sort of amazing piece of machinery. Although the same could be said about the SxS Sawn-Off Shotgun, unless the Hammer, Trigger Mechanism, or Ejector (in which the Shotgun will still function, if that model even HAS an Ejector) break, the Shotgun really can't fail, it can't jam. You're also giving Player 2 the clear bias there, considering Player can't click a switch to break the barrels open and drop 2 shells in, yet Player 2 can shoulder, aim, and accurately fire his rifle despite being PEPPERED with pellets to the Face, Neck, and Upper Chest.

I guarantee you it's a prop. Props don't work. A prop is basically just the w_model. The animations and all that are in the v_model which props don't have (because it is much harder to make and people just making comics don't need animations).

Being shot by two shells would get you heavily injured, thinking of the spread and all the pallets. If you were just infront of eachother, then the one with the ak74u would most likely die instantly.

I accept your point and I admit it has the most logical sense in it. You've proven me wrong but I must ask you one question that if I didn't ask I think it would leave this problem unresolved.

How do you explain that to the players on the server without causing a big argument?

Nobody seems to have posted on here for a while so is the suggestion accepted or not and i can't do it myself because i have no clue how to make a working weapon at all.

Not sure if trolling or just really stupid.

Obviously the suggestion hasn't been suggested. No one else knows how to model either so either find a v_model for this or it's not happening. Which I'm pretty sure was what you were told weeks ago.
