I actually want to play this real bad. I remember when CS came out, it disappointed me, hopefully this wont.

I played the Russian version for a little bit. It's a big, big, big improvement over clear sky, but not as good as Shadow of Chernobyl. It's still a great game though. Looking forward to play it in real english, as opposed to that shoddy translation patch..

The game is nice, Specially the group of stalkers and the fast travel options.
Still the map feels small, and you can't join faction.

Its a great game but don't expect shadow of Chernobyl..... I do find it better than both of the previous games though mainly because of the fact that there are no crashes and very few bugs and you can join small groups of loners if you want its really cool. A few minutes ago i found a group of loners and followed them to Vintar and then the leader pulled out his gun ran inside and shot this one specific guy up. I was standing there just staring. I guess those two guys didnt like each other. Any one else had this happen.

I walk out of the boat base. And all of a sudden a war starts between Bandits and Loners right outside. Twenty-Five dead bodies, no survivors. So I naturally take all the loot. I have about 50 guns now.

man ive been dying to play the new stalker game, i heard so much good stuff about it, how they combined the best elements of SoC and CS into 1. I also heard that theres only 3 different "areas" now ): this sounds terrible, the original "areas" were so tiny how can this game be fun with only 3?

Firstly, the areas are BIG...
Secondly, there is a number of unique quests, about 70 in total (i have done 60 so far)
Its not just "Go kill teh stalker"
Or "Go purge the mutant lair"
ITs unique, fun to do missions.

I've had 2 playthroughs of Stalker COP, and I have to say I found the ending very lackluster and gained a massive feeling of pointlessness.

But all in all, COP has to be the best of the three because of the more open areas, and more importantly the large number of unquie quests.

Third times the charm.

I thought the graphics were pretty bad/mediocre, even compared to SoC.

I played on Maximum settings. It still wasn't very good.

You don't really play a game like stalker for the graphics, you play it for the experiance and gameplay.

Like i'd play fallout 1 or 2 over fallout 3 any day.
