You think this shit is bad? Every school in the fucking country will be at least as bad as this if he could have his way and cut all federal funding.

I hate to bring politics into GVC, but seriously, this is the one and only reason Obama is getting my vote over anyone else despite how much other shit he does wrong. He can fuck up for the next four years, so long as he gets money to this school and others like it fixed. He'll be gone in four years regardless. The education he helps leave behind will fix everything in the long term.

$100 million dollars has been given to this school in federal funding resulting in a MAJOR OVERHAUL of the school's infrastructure, which is not political BS because it's already being done and it's already in progress.

Hopefully, future Methuen students will now get a better education than I did.

Now that I can vote, somehow I've come to hate him.

Well when I stepped in this thread I was going to bitch about the quality of education we get in schools here in britain.  You guys may have no walls but we have a class full of children who have no desire to learn, let me give a brief example of what occures in my old Maths class back in London.

*Teacher walks in.*

*Teacher walks out, no lesson taught and it wasnt even a prime teacher, it was a supply teacher.*

I wish I had that option. Going to a decent school means being in a district with one. Otherwise, you can't go. End of story. To get in their district, you have to live in that district. I live in the district of Methuen Public Schools, which I'm stuck with. I can't attend school in Salem New Hampshire, Lowell, Haverhill (which would have been fantastic), or Lawrence (which would have been worse).

As for petitions, it's been done. It doesn't do anything. Just take heart in knowing that $100,000,000 from Federal education aid is allowing this school to get a complete overhaul. Funny thing is they started rebuilding the year after I graduated. The construction is ongoing.
