Regular Show is an American television show airing on 8:30 (EST) on Cartoon Network and was created by J.G.Quintel, previously the creative director for The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and stars the crew of a public park maintenance crew. The two main characters are two anthropomorphic bluejay and raccoon, named Mordecai and Rigby, respectively. They work for Benson, an anthropomorphic gum ball machine, and live in the park in the house of Pops, a lollipop-shaped man. They are supported by Skips, an anthropomorphic yeti who skips when he walks; Margaret, an anthropomorphic robin who runs the local coffee shop and is the love interest of Mordecai; Muscleman and High-Five Ghost, and out-of-shape oddly-colored human and a ghost which has a hand sticking out of its head, with which it uses to high-five with.

The show is often the opposite of it's name, and the plot of any one episode often consists of Mordecai and Rigby blowing off a job/trying to accomplish something, engaging in a juvenile action, and summoning an eldritch abomination as a result of that. For example, in one episode, while trying to win ownership of a chair Mordecai and Rigby rock-paper-scissors a tie one-hundred times, summoning an inter-dimensional monster and having everything turn back to normal within moments. Regular Show is also known for it's ability to get crap past the radar, to the point where the writers are absolutely amazed that half the shows pass the CN censors. In fact, the 11-15 year old demographic is mostly left behind for a more adult audience.

Mordecai, Benson, and Pops originate from J.G. Quintel's old student animated shorts 2 in the AM PM and Naive Man from Lolliland- both not entirely meant for children.
